I had my daughter there this past April. I questioned if I should say anything being technically she is here and healthy. But after talking around to some other moms in the area. Very friendly and attentive staff... Did not wait long at all for treatment
I had a PFT done there, this past Thursday. I'm still waiting for the results to be sent to my doctor, who is in the Catholic Health Network, from my understanding. The only other issue I have, is one of the hospital's workers, ended up hitting my partner's car with her hand., considering we were in it and leaving the hospital, at the time. We both witnessed her doing it. We don't know why though, but it was unprofessional.
Talked to two people who told me my father was staying at the hospital overnight. In the middle of my work day they tell me he is being released (same day) in an hour. I tell them i am at work but i can run and get him but i need him ready and waiting at the door. They said ok. I said i will call when i am on my way to make sure. I call when i am on my way and tell them i will be there in five minutes. It actually took me 10. When i arrive he is nowhere to be found. My dad was here for 6 days and it was a very frustrating experience. Several days he was allowed nothing by mouth only to be told in the evenings that there would be no procedure that day. I did not feel he was a priority at all, because his condition was grave, and his GI specialist was not part of the Buffalo Medical Group. He passed away on Saturday after surgery, and the ICU nurse seemed to be pushing us to remove his IVs so he could “pass away faster.” I felt like she needed the room for someone else. My experience at Sister’s with my Dad was horrendous. From the ER to the ICU the care he received was awful. The doctor’s had no sense of urgency in his treatment, communication was terrible, the hospital was dirty, once he ended up in ICU the nurses there were cold and insensitive regarding end of life decisions. Wish I had gone with my gut feeling and transferred him on Day 1 to another facility.
