The Sisters Folk Festival is a three-day celebration of American roots music, from blues to bluegrass.Many greats have graced the stage since the initial Festival in 1995, including Ian Tyson, Tim O'Brien, Jesse Winchester, Natalie MacMaster, Chris Smither, Dave Carter, The Waybacks, John Gorka, Ruthie Foster, The Waifs, The Wailin' Jennys and more.The Festival is held every year in September, the weekend after Labor Day, in beautiful Sisters, Oregon. Amazing crowd, very neighborly and fun. Great music.
Many excellent venues, large and small; more close up experiences with the artists. Easy going atmosphere with limits on crowd size make it one of the best festivals in the Pacific Northwest. Good mix of well-known, regional and emerging artists. Not-for-profit means the vast majority of the $$ go back into the artistic education of young people, not someone's pocket! Great people in volunteer, organization, and managing roles. Thanks to all in the community!
Amazing in all ways the best festival in a beautiful place as well.
If you are a conservative you will not feel comfortable in this environment. Sad to say it has become just another grandstand for political statements. My husband and I won’t be coming back
