A vegetarian favorite, this upbeat fusion restaurant provides a wide variety of organic dishes. Located in Clairemont Mesa, where livelyChinese, Vietnamese, and Indian communities are nearby, many of the dishes show Asian roots. Their "bowlz" are especially popular and riff on the noodle bowls of Japan and elsewhere. The family dinners read like Chinese family-style dinners everywhere, but even if the menu says "peppered pork," it's actually a soy-based mock meat though many may not even notice the difference. Most dishes are... read more

It's something different – I most likely won't do this again ever...
Sipz – I've had better down in El Cajon area.
I used to love SIPZ until I found a caterpillar in my wonton soup. Please be aware of what you are eating! Make sure you don't eat anything not expected! I will never be the same
they lie to vegans. boycott in effect – i'm vegan i heard a rumor a while ago that the soy chicken at sipz restaurant was not vegan, and that they refuse to let anybody read the ingredients list stating its thrown away or something i just decided to call and try to get an ingredients list, and managed to speak to a new person who read me the ingredients list for the vegan chicken she read 'separated albumin' it has egg derivatives in it I'm really upset that they'd hidden the soy chicken ingredients from customers for years,... read more
Hot tipz, try sipz – Sipz is rad. Even though its' name is spelled with a "z," which originally irritated me, the delicious food lives up to its reputation in San Diego. It is hands-down date night for vegans and vegetarians, and everyone else can still marvel at the drumsticks for the first time, every time.
They have 2 locations. A fast Express one and a sit down restaurant. Both are excellent! Very affordable and quick service. My vote is the Thai Curry "Chicken" and the Orange "Chicken". Both are mock meat of course. Love their Taro Boba Tea and Banana cake which are made in house.
if you like vegetarian food this place has the best
Best Vegan/Vegetarian restaurant in San Diego! – We go to Sipz every week! My friends and I are Vegan and we love this place. The casual fun atmosphere and the amazing Orange "Chicken". We also had their Vegan Cheesecake with Raspberry. It was better than the cheese cake I remembered. Highly reccommend our favorites; Orange "chicken", Spicy Basil with Tofu, Drumsticks, and all their desserts. The fun thing is we also run into someone we know whenever we eat there! Their Vegan Caterpillar Sushi Rolls are to die for too! Also,... read more
GREAT FOOD!! – I absolutely love this place. My exboyfriend introduced me and he is a meat eater and he also loved this place. Get atmosphere and great food. You would never know that the food served isn't real meat.
