I can’t say enough about how nice everyone was at this shop and how helpful they were. I went in with a serger that wouldn’t work and left 30 minutes later with it working perfectly for $45. I know that won’t happen for everyone, but the fact that they were willing to look at it immediately was just unbelievable. I had just taken it to another place in Austin, and they were going to charge me $299 to clean it before they even tried to determine the issue, and it had just been cleaned!
Lovely store -lovely people! They have taken care of me and my girls (aka Janine, Featherweight, and their little Brother) for years. They set expectations for service and meet or exceed them. Nice selection of fabrics and notions, too. Definitely a place you will love shopping!
I just started learning how to sew and have been attending Lou’s “sewing station” courses offered here. Louise is an incredibly attentive, patient, knowledgeable and fun instructor who brings her lovely personality and attitude to every class. Signed up for my 2nd course with her hours after the first lesson. Phenomenal instructor and lovely space!
Northwest Sewing Center is probably my favorite store for sewing machines, accessories, classes and learning. I’ve probably been going there for about 10 years and I recommend them all the time. The owner, Mary is not only a lovely person, but knowledgeable and attentive. I took the sewing 101 class with Louise and it was amazing! She is so thorough and made me feel confident operating my machine. Louise offered hands on assistance, had knowledge of all different sewing machines, and everyone left feeling successful after sewing their own project! I definitely recommend her classes- I’ve already signed up for the next!
