One of the best and most helpful sewing shops I've ever visited. The staff is extremely knowledgeable both with modern computerized sewing machines and with lower tech examples. Their repair services are first rate. They were able to bring my grandmother's 1927 treadle powered Singer sewing machine back to life; the first repair center to ever want to even try! Cannot recommend highly enough!
I was a first time quilter, I have sewn many projects since then, I came into the shop looking for a walking foot for my machine. The woman who helped me had told me that having my machine with me would’ve been beneficial, which I should’ve known, but she found the walking foot perfect for my machine anyway! The shop has an adorable set up with classes going on in the back right section and sewing machines and tools all around. The staff is so kind, knowledgeable, and eager to help out other seamstresses. Wonderful shop!
I think this may have been the best shopping experience I’ve ever had. Knowledgeable and patient staff. Fully restored an old machine for peanuts. Sold us a sewing machine and serger for less than we could find anywhere online (how?!?) WITH free lessons on them! I seriously don’t know how they stay in business. We had to go back for an embroidery machine!
This business is such a gem and everyone who works there is really welcoming and great!! I have had my machine serviced several times, and recently took a great class with Colette. Spending an afternoon tapping her wisdom is highly valuable!!! She teaches hard skills like threading, adjusting machine settings for different fabrics, and navigating tension, while also dropping in so many great tips and nuggets of wisdom accumulated over a lifetime of sewing.
