How an a place like this keep being funded. The time frame from alcohol to withdrawal is so short. The staff do there best with what they have got. However the provincial government need to address the additions and concerns regarding Nova Scotians they are the future of this aging population. Care begins at provincial level. Regards a detox patient who only spent 1 day at Simpsons landing. Such a sad state of affairs in Nova Scotia

I had a very positive experience this time around. As mentioned, you have to want it... Good food, decent beds, simply amazing support staff. Thank you all.
Spent a week. Personally received great nursing care while dealing with alcohol detox. Shame the program only lasts a seven days, used to be twenty-one. Lack of staffing to blame, hard working and friendly nurses all the same. Decent food, tidy rooms. Thank you for your help.
