I’ve never written a review in my life, but I do read the experiences of others to inform my decisions and I hope that sharing my experience will help others avoid what I experienced today. When trying to find a primary care doctor in San Diego, I chose Dr Simon Tanksley mostly for administrative/logistical reasons — he was accepting new patients and in a location convenient for both my husband and I. Doesn’t even deserve one star. He was more than 30 minutes late which is inconsiderate, but then he tells my mother, “What’s this about, you have five minutes.” Disgusting.
I had the pleasure of visiting Dr. Tanksley due to my doctor being out of the office, and he is one of the best doctors I could recommend! He covered all of the bases, even asked questions and gave explanations I could understand. He recapped everything, and provided the utmost patient care. I highly recommend this Doctor to everyone!
I highly recommend Dr. Tanksley! Our entire family sees him, even driving 50+ miles to receive his care. He's always attentive, never rushes the visit, is genuinely concerned about your health and asks about the family. We love him!
Doctor Tanksley is absolutely untrustworthy and irresponsible!...He informed my son of his alarming blood work due to obesity, he did prescribe Mounjaro injections to help him begin treatment. Knowing my son's insurance's APPROVAL of the med, HE REFUSED to send the prior authorization. How abominable and nasty!! What kind of a doctor would write a prescription for his patient, but not give PA? I profoundly regret recommending this doctor to my son. Stay away from this one...Look elsewhere!
