I have been a patient of Dr. Simmons' for around 5 years. When I first met her, I was desperately wanting to wean off of a strong antidepressant medication. She helped me to gradually and safely reach this goal while teaching me to manage my symptoms with introspection, meditation, and other coping skills. Dr. Simmons helped me immensely. She provided a warm presence while helping me work through past traumas, managing day to day stressors and improved my overall mental health by helping me manage issues with strengthening of coping skills.
This doctor is dangerous - she will not help people in crisis, or people who have chronic health conditions. She is against western medicine to an extreme degree and may refuse to provide services to you if you are on medications prescribed by a medical doctor. Furthermore, she may tell you that you need to see a specialist instead of her, and then tell you that you cannot afford the specialist she thinks you need to see, essentially making her recommendation both useless and shaming.
