The greatest sushi ever – If you are looking for incredible sushi (as well as other food), reasonable prices and a comfortable atmosphere Silhouette Restaurant & Bar is the place. The customer service at Silhouette is excellent. Disappointed – Okay...so I read the other reviews about this place and thought I'd give it a chance anyway! When we got there the place was empty so seating was prompt. We chose to sit at the bar. The bartender ignored us for at least five minutes. Then he put two glasses of water in front of us and still didn't offer to take our drink orders. The smell of fish was unbarably strong! Great Bartenders, Staff and Sushi – I get to Silho almost every other day either for lunch (try the specials they are filling and affordable) or after work for sushi and drink happy hour. I've taken friends and co-workers there and they have all raved about the sushi and drinks. Charlie, Amber, Vannesa and Daschel all provide great service and are great at remembering your face, your drink and your sushi preferences. I highly recommend it!
Friendliest Sushi Bar in Town! – I went in to Silhouette on a Saturday night and got seated right away, the staff was friendly and attentive. The food was great and my family loved it. I reccommend this place both for a date or to take your family out.
This seductive sushi bar offers more than meets the eye. – In Short The narrow railroad space is painted a deep blood-red and just seems to keep going and going. There's a full bar and lounge area at the front, intimate booths and tables in the center and a sushi bar at the back. Exotic drinks, bubble tea and Japanese tea ceremonies add to the allure. The full sushi bar offers inventive rolls, like the refreshing summer roll: crisp cucumber, asparagus and cream cheese rolled in soybean paper.
The smell ain't swell – The first thing you will notice when you walk in to this place? The smell! Overpowering fishiness... pretty gross. But I don't know if it was from the fish or the machismo... I went in for lunch and there was almost no one there but people who were obviously friends of the bartender. romantic? – I had high expectations on this restraunt considering its rating. Looking for a romantic night to celebrate a b-day was met with lots of dissappointment. The atmosphere is anything but romantic with loud metalic music and the odor of a fish market. The rolls were not original and did not have much flavor. Only saving grace was the sashimi. The dessert was highly shocking- paid $4 for something that was finished in one scoop. Luckally the coffee shop down the road served ice cream. Service was good.
GREAT Bartender! – I visited the restaurant on a couple different occasions on a recent business trip to Austin. The sushi was good, no complaints there, and the service however was excellent. Amber was bartending on both visits, and she was really one of the best bartenders I have seen working in a long time. Great late night sushi – Fresh fish. Friendly service and the best sushi happy hour prices around. Being a night owl I love the late night sushi happy hour on Saturday nights (11pm to close). The fish is always fresh and full of flavor. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.
