Went here 14 years ago and still traumatized. Lies, dehumanized, no rights of patients. Will drug you up on strong, disabling medications without any informed consent that you are not allowed to refuse. No patient rights. Treated like a pharmaceutical lab rat medical experiment. When it’s done they refused to help with any plan for after care unless you go to their affiliated place and then was stuck on the meds they put me on without any plan for refill or follow up. Hell. I had a wonderful 30 days at ST. From the minute I walked through the door I was met with nothing but kindness and acceptance. And this went from the bottom up - easy access to the CEO, very caring nursing staff, great doctor who really helped me out, and the techs (BHSs?). There are many people I'd highlight, but I'll keep it short - special should to Mona in detox, Asia and Carlo, and definitely matt my primary therapist. The ONLY complaint is the food. For the sake of clarity, I would like to write this review in regard to my current stay at the Sierra Tucson rehabilitation treatment facility. I have made numerous attempts to plead with staff of the treatment facility to allow me access to my Nintendo Switch video game system. My video game use has been the sole method of coping to mitigate the negativity of others, while simultaneously keeping me occupied from engaging in otherwise maladaptive behaviors. I cannot believe the change that I have achieved. I came to sierra tucson after a recommendation from the VA. I tried substance treatments in and out for 17 years. They helped me work on my actual traumas from the military, some days easier than others. With the proper babysitters forward I am very confident in my ability to be the husband I am supposed to be.
