Two things I wish I had known before choosing SPOC 1. Bigger is NOT better. This medical practice has grown far beyond the great family practice it was 8 years ago, meaning that the patient does not get the best care especially when it comes to communication with the doctor and his staff. SPOC forces the patient to call or text a third party to communicate with the doctor and his staff. You cannot call the doctors office directly. They insist on storing all your credit card information in your permanent file. If you don't agree, you'll have to go elsewhere for care.
I have had very good experiences with the doctor and nursing staff at SPOC. However, my recent interaction with the front office was extremely disappointing. When I called, Emma answered the phone and asked several questions, her responses were rushed and without care. I politely asked for her name, she responded, “Why are you asking for my name?” This was unnecessary and unprofessional. The front office is the first point of contact and represents SPOC.
