Well, after reading these reviews, I see a lot of truth in them. I do have to say however that Skyler the owner has tried to get the right leaders in there. I think the problem is that he does not hire smart. You have to hire an administrator with integrity, someone who is accountable, honest and responsible and very impartial. It needs to be someone that knows how to hire and coach,as well as develop employees. Someone that can recognize leaders. Nursing skills have nothing to do with it, if they are not leader material. Sienna is often under staffed. Resisents smell of urine and may not be bathed for days. The facility is often short on supplies (towels, pads decent sheets, blankets etc.) and most often short on medications that are required for resident care. There is also an infestation of ants in several of the rooms. The temperture in facility is either freezing cold or extremely hot never at a comfortable level. I would definitely not recommend this facility to one love ones. It is absolutely not worth the cost!!!
We have had a great experience since our mother was admitted. The staff are helpful and friendly. They have taken great care of mom.
This is finest LTC Ive seen! We are extremely pleased with the staff and the facilities!
I am so proud to hear patients and residents positive feedback as they leave our "skilled" unit with stories of great care received which allow them to be able to go back to their previous living arrangement. We have a great team employed now. A real team, who are working together for "Resident first" care". Growth in a new facility is hard, at best, but we have now turned a corner. RECENTLY, AT THIS FACILITY, I SAT IN THE LOBBY AND OBSERVED FOR AWHILE BEFORE ANOUNCING MY PRESENCE. I WAS APPROACHED BY AT LEAST A DOZEN EMPLOYEES OFFERING THERE HELP. I OBSERVED STAFF HUGGING RESIDENTS, STAFF HUGGING STAFF. I OBSERVED CLEANLINESS, FRIENDLINESS, COMPASSION. THIS WAS PLEASANT SURPRISE FOR ME, AS I HAVE BEEN A NURSE FOR 20 YEARS AND NOT SURPRISED BY MUCH. I WAS EXCITED TO HEAR THAT THIS FACILITY DRUG TEST EVERY APPLICANT BEFORE HIRING THEM. As an employee I have seen people come and go constantly at Sienna. However the ones that are friends with upper staff stay, even though they ignore the patients and they call in and no-show on a constant basis. As much as that place costs they could easily afford to staff themselves more accurately. Instead they place it upon the aides and nurses to do triple the work. I have observed sienna inside and out, the staff are not perfect but are not anything like how you discribe,ive seen them smoke but only on the city streets,however you violated them by cursing and taking pictures of them! Poor little girls on there lunch break,theese employees have clear backgrounds and have dedicated there lives to care for our mothers and fathers,how could you violate theese young kids trying to make a living? Sienna is a great place to live and work. It was mentioned that weakness was a part of the care I think weakness was misunderstood for kindness and caring. Sienna continues to be a restraint free facility and even though the family wants their loved ones tied down where they are unable to get up and walk, I just do not consider that caring at all.
