My husband, my sister-in-law and I stopped for the night in Winnemucca and ate a late lunch at Sid's. I had a bowl of homemade vegetable beef soup and a side salad. The soup was chock full of vegetables and really tasty. My husband had chili and corn bread which he said was excellent. My sister-in-law had a hot roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes. She said the beef was really tender and the mashed potatoes were homemade. And the prices were reasonable. All in all a good eating experience.
I have eaten at Sid's only 4 times, each time I had bland, poor quality food and a bland, poor quality waitress. Anywhere else in Winnemucca is a better cjoice. The last time I was there Sid's was having a plumbing issue and the men's room was closed for maintenance and that end of the restaraunt had a foul, rotten egg smell. When we asked the waitress what on earth the smell was, she said "what smell?" and walked away.
