My Mother age (50), my cousin(30) and my Aunt(53) that passed away in October all suffer from the disease, I myself have the trait and my daughter has nothing. At an early age I learned all I could about the disease and even wanted to be a Hematologist at one time, I really hope Sickle Cell Anemia can get the recognition like Cancer and other diseases. I'm praying for cure and soon!
I truely know how u feel, lost my son of 27yrs and this was a very painful way to see my sin suffering and being in constant pain for year. I am still hurting but I wish they had a cure for this disease.
