As others I too felt Dr. Shukla is very dismissive of patients care and last week appt made it obviously clear.

I came in and saw Dr. Shukla, her exam was very fast and seemed like she talked at me instead of to me. I drove an hour to make my appointment and left with nothing. I can tell she’s a newer Doctor but let’s just say that was the last time I will be going to the Chapel Hill location. It’s frustrating because the appointments are booked out for months but if they don’t physically see anything they aren’t pressed for concern no matter why you are there in the first place. I’ve been coming to UNC dermatology for years for routine skin checks. Dr. Shukla walked in and seemed confused. She didn’t know if she was in the right room and then proceeded to ask me what time my appointment was. Anyways, what bothered me the most was how quick the exam was. She was in and out in less than 5 minutes. I have a tonnnnnn of moles. I just felt like she wasn’t thorough at all. I’ll likely make another appointment with another physician to have everything rechecked. She was nice, but not thorough.
