The heating and AC service repaired our unit 5 years ago so we thought it was a good idea to have them give us an estimate. Gave a fair estimate but I also needed an estimate for some handyman work. Their HANDYMAN JOHNNY, said that Shumate charges $250 per hour. He also charged us $50 for the estimate? $250 an hour for handyman work? No way!
Four years ago I purchased a Daikin air conditioner. The first spring I turned it on it smelled like stinky socks. Two Shumate employees came out and advised I needed my ducts cleaned. They sprayed something which removed the smell. Second spring, same bad smell. Shumate employee came out and said no, cleaning ducts won’t take care of it. He advised to run the unit for three hours.
