This oyster bar is a bar first, oyster place second. Sure, the pan-fried oysters were tasty, and the clam chowder was rich in clams. While the 2 of us were there to eat, every other patron was bellied up to the bar drinking deeply in between cig breaks outside. The TVs were tuned to a Spanish soccer game, unusual fare for the Oregon Coast. I asked the two bartenders if they were into European soccer, and after exchanging glances they replied, "We're into vodka." Indeed. great oysters shooters on the half shell and pan fried they were all delicious...
What a little gem this place is. We got there after they stopped serving dinner and had to order from the bar menu. The clam chowder was oyster shooters were fantastic as well. Great service. I can't wait to go back.
