I had a visit about neck pain because I have some compression and arthritis in my spine. I had already seen 3 doctors. I asked her questions about why I wasn't getting an injection, as I had been assured was going to happen on this visit by the previous neurosurgeon I had seen several weeks ago. She does not explain pros and cons of a procedure. She has staff do most of communication with patient done by staff. She leaves exam room in a huge hurry like she doesn’t want to be bothered with questions.
Dr Kapoor struggles with moving past her own prejudices and biases to see the patient as a whole. I have been a nurse for close to 30yrs and I’ve never seen a doctor treat a patient or family with so much disrespect. Truly heartbreaking and makes you not want to seek the help and healing you deserve! She seemed to fixate on one treatment even though other doctors since have mentioned other possibilities- not sure if it’s because she is unfamiliar with these other forms of treatment…?
First off, Dr. Kapoor was the most knowledgeable doctor, knowing exactly where the pain points were, what caused them, and how to treat. She did not lean on pain medication which I LOVE. I want to be pain free, not a zombie. After her treatments and non-opioid medications, I have been pain free for six months and have a follow up plan with specific details for the future. Dr. Kapoor is knowledgeable, efficient and professional. Although her manner is sometimes brisk, she is a deeply compassionate person.
Dr. Kapoor was no help for pain relief. She is a little abrupt. She had shots, but would not give them to me for my pain. She spoke English, but she did not understand the word, "Amputation."
Ashley, my check in RN, and Dr Kapoor were VERY nice and very welcoming. They both took the time to fully hear my situation and we're very understanding. Dr Kapoor explained thoroughly her anticipated short, medium and long term treatment plan and compassionate about my situation. I would recommend her to anyone needing treatment for back pain.
Very disappointed with this practice - scheduled an injection in my back , having to wait 2 weeks until she returned from vacation. During that time, all non essential procedures were cancelled at the hospital. I had to go to the expense of going to another doctor to be treated, as he had a private practice and could. The cost of that procedure and doctor visit was less than the $600.00 “drug test” that was run by Dr Kapoors office to prescribe pain relievers while I waited for her return from vacation. Horrible doctor. Rude, unprofessional, uncaring, accusatory. RUN away from this doctor. Needs some training in dealing with human beings. Needs a lesson in humanity, compassion and empathy. How she got her license to practice medicine is a mystery. If I could give negative stars for this doctor, I would.
