My daughter and I were there yesterday and it was a good trip to the doctors for her for once We were even asked to participate in a medical study! Dr Gupta and his staff were great in addressing all our questions and the instructions for what to do at home were very well stated !!
In 1923, my father contracted Polio. During the coarse of his childhood, he was at Shriner's, in St. Louis, three different times. While treatment for the after effects of Polio during the 1930's were primitive by today's standards my father received the very best care available at that time. He was not completely "fixed" but what he was given was love, encouragement and an "I can do it" attitude while he was there!
