Worst experiences ever!   My husbands appt was for 9:15am.  3 Dr’s in their rooms and not one saw a patient before 11:30!  The Dr my husband had told my husband he didn’t have a hernia (so I guess the ultrasound lied).  2 weeks later my husband saw a surgeon and she couldn’t believe how large his hernia is externally!  I think Shouldice is the hospital where old cranky washed up surgeons are put out to pasture.   Advocate for yourself, and don’t put up with the BS they spew

I had surgery at Shouldice Hospital last week. The doctors, nurses, food service, housekeeping, and administration staff exceeded all my expectations. Their level of patient care and professionalism is a model for medical treatment.

Wasted my time  5 years ago was told I have a hernia  Go to Shouldice clinic 4 hour drive  Examined after hours waiting  Told yes we will proceed with repair  Booked appointment  I decided to postpone appointment for a better time told my file would be open for 6 months  Felt better decided to wait to see if it got worse  Fast forward to December 2023 , shoveling snow tweaked pain  Had ultrasound determined I now had two hernias , one on each side  Decided it was time to get them repaired  Instead of driving 4 hours to Shoul... read more
