I had a very frustrating experience with this real estate company during the sale of a family home to my daughter after my grandfather passed away. The property was supposed to transfer through a Transfer on Death Deed, which listed my two aunts and my mother as beneficiaries. 01/31/24 Our accepted offer was prepared by ************************************** of Shorewest Realty of Northern Door County, not our own listing agent. An ad offered our property furnished; however as per the actual written contract, the buyers ONLY listed the appliances in the inclusion section, nothing else. While acting as POA for the sale of my mother's condo, we made the mistake of trusting an early no-contingency offer from a buyer client of Shorewest Realtor's ******************** Two rescheduled close dates later, we were finally told Shorewest's client couldn't close until she closed on the sale of her own home first. Shorewest is definitely playing games. To have individuals showing up for a house with an offer on it, in the hopes of getting an offer over the asking price is a waste of everyone’s time. Do not list a house for 200,000 get an offer for 200,000 or more continue to have open houses with the hopes of getting even more while luring individuals in who have no intentions of going over 200,000. An utter joke. (New paragraph) On Aug. 17, 2021, while scanning the listings at the WiHomes website, I came across what appeared to be an attractive condominium property in St. Francis, Wis., just southeast of Milwaukee. As of this writing, that property is represented by a Shorewest realtor. So, I clicked on her link -- and wrote four simple, basic, initial questions about the property. Buyers be aware Caution! This company has been listing homes on average $20,000.00 over what the fair market value taking advantage of people in this pandemic environment. This is locking people in to buy a homes over what they are worth. If you need to get a mortgage good luck companies won’t lend more than the homes worth. So you want to do it anyway ok you will sink every bit of money you have on a home that will worth less than you owe the bank. Your investment is now just more debt. We purchased our house through Shorewest with a closing on July 18, 2019. During the home inspection the home inspector noted the A/C and heating vent in the master bedroom was not functioning. I voiced my concern to my realtor after driving by the home and seeing a window A/C unit in the master bedroom. My realtor contacted the listing agent who asked the sellers who said their son had allergies. I listed my home with Shore West and a realtor named Margaret. It sat on the market for a month or so and then they had a group of their realtors walk thru and gave me a list of things to change to make the house more attractive. I did this all. Other than the kitchen floor. The house was ok. I had dogs so it had a dog smell. We had the house, carpets, walls and vents cleaned. Dog smell was gone.
