Doctors and staff are wonderful. I came in feeling depressed and anxious. Dr. Madj Alsamman knows psychiatry and cares greatly for each patient that comes into the unit. I love him so much! Dr. Dameff is also very knowledgeable and fun! Naomi has classes each day to help your thinking and behaviors. I learned a great deal from her. I will use the techniques she taught me to navigate the world as I go out from the comfort of Shorepoint Behavioral Hospital. Every single person I've encountered at ShorePoint Behavioral Health in Punta Gorda, has been kind, empathetic, knowledgeable, and go above and beyond to care for my family member. They treat me and my family with compassion and give us a peaceful piece of mind! I'm forever grateful!

Went voluntarily. Big mistake. ‘A’ for the staff being nice and compassionate. ‘D’ for the mental heath treatment. Unless you are suicidal, don’t bother. It’s a prison. Felt angry and irritated being there. Never saw a counselor or a therapist or had an in-depth psych evaluation.Save your insurance the “group therapy” charge and download 11 minute mediation you can do at home.

Now in the ShorePoint Hospital. This unit it TOP NOTCH! Staff very caring 24 Hrs. Dr. A (Psychologist) easy to talk with and listens to you. Housekeeping is very good, have a request just ask. Group session are great if you don’t participate the staff wont know what you need so they can help you. We’re all there to support one another.
