Be warned ! This company is unsympathetic toward a child with special needs and the Horicon was INFESTED with spiders. I took many photos. I will be sharing pictures on sites where I can. Every picture contains a different spider and I could have kept snapping. What my family experienced should have never have happened and could have been EASILY been avoided had the ship been cared for. We took the 2 1/2 hour tour on the adarondac and it was a great trip. The captain provided everyone with a wealth of historic facts and stories, truly magnificent experience. Best bang for your buck and the lunch was good. Look forward to doing it again next year.
We enjoyed the beautiful scenery and also the historical commentary while aboard the Horican. Highly recommended!
We took the Horicon for the Sunset Cruise and loved every minute of it. The boat is beautiful, the scenery is exquisite and the ambiance was very nice. We particularly appreciated the Captain's interesting commentaries and also that they were done in a very soft and gentle voice and didn't distract from the peace and quiet of the spectacular evening. We would definitely go again on our next visit.
We had a wonderful time on the Adirondack dinner cruise. The captain (Ed) was immensely helpful and let us board the boat first since we have an autistic 6 year old daughter. They reserved us a table that had some extra space so she could hang out on the floor if she wanted. She spent the night dancing on the second level to the live music...it was perfect! Many thanks to the entire staff for making what could have been a very stressful experience for us easy and enjoyable!
The 1 hour sunset cruise was a hit with the 6 adults in our party. We made sure to arrive early enough to get 1 of the outdoor seats. The crew was very friendly. We helped ourselves to the cheese & cracker trays and each enjoyed a complimentary drink. Although the sunset was ho-hum, the moon rise was spectacular! The $25 fare is definitely worth it.
My wife and I enjoyed it very much.
