Celebrating the 5th Anniversary of my moving to Northern Virginia, my wife and I went back to the first bar I visited the night I arrived, February 11, 2012. The bartender was a tall, energetic and friendly woman named Boomer. I felt immediately welcome in my new home thanks to Boomer and the wonderful folks patronizing Shooter McGee's.
