I have been a big fan of Shogun's ever for over 20 years. However, my most recent visit on 8/9/14 will be my last. A small reason for this is that Shogun's has gone up in price lately and for the past few years, the "Sho" in "Shogun's" pretty much does not exist any more. However, the main reason that I will never return back to this restaurant is due to a disgusting incident that happened Saturday night. One of the people at my table had ordered a bottle of Sake and as he was pouring some of it out from the bottle into the ... read more

I have dined at Shogun's at least twice a year every year for 34 years. I have eaten at Benny Hanna's in Honolulu and Yamato on NW expressway in okc. Shoguns was superior to both. Over the years I have had some chefs who were better than others, some more talented and showmanlike, some just chefs; but, the food was always good. I like their salad dressing so much that I used to buy it in a bottle and take it home. I have experienced some slow service occasionally on very busy nights and I also learned one other thing: Dont m... read more

Horrible Customer Service! – Well let's start with the Chef. He was very boring and did not speak to us at all. Our waitress was horrible. We had to refill our own drinks by going to the Hostess stand. That happened on more than once. Try three times. Then the waitress lost the credit card for payment. She had no clue that she had even taken the payment. It was just horrible all the way around.

Great special dinner location – Our family has enjoyed Shoguns in Oklahoma City from the time it was located on N. Portland to its present home in the Northpark Mall, and have always enjoyed our dining experience there. We have made it our anniversary tradition. Shogun's holds a quiet, peaceful ambience to encourage a pleasant experience with its "hibachi in the round" format. A party of two can expect to be seated with 1 to 6 other guests, although most recently we had a table to ourselves amid an otherwise busy restaurant.... read more

Reservations mean what? – A group of 25 of us went to Shoguns for a birthday party and had made reservations weeks in advance for the event. Shoguns called us the afternoon of the event to confirm our reservation but when we showed up (on time!) we found out that our tables weren't even available. We waited an hour and ten minutes until we complained enough to have all of us squeeze into two small tables. Even then, our original tables were still occupied by the same people that were there over an hour ago. After dinner, we ... read more

Two Thumbs down and no stars – To talk about the food - The beef and onion soup tasted like it came from a packet. Miso soup would be a better idea. The salad dressing was runny and bland. The chef was boring. The waitress overcompensated by filling my wifes drink up before it was 1/3 empty. To top it all off we got overcharged by $20 for the meal. The manager (i guess who ever answers the phone first) David tells me they only charged the ticket amount and their books added up correctly at the close of business. My credit ca... read more
