Much Better then Bliss Spa for Hair Removal! – I just tried out Shobha Madison for the first time after reading in NY Mag it was rated #1 for a Bikini Wax. The place lived up to expectations. I had a professional technician (Jamuna) who was gentle enough so that it was relatively pain free, but aggressive enough to get the job done right! So Not Worth It – I have no problem paying for good service, so that's what I expected to get when I went to Shobha Madison. It was SOOOOOOOO not worth it. Aside from the $20 price tag for eyebrows, I saw no difference in the quality of eyebrow threading. No wait, actually I did. The $6 place I go to is actually much better. So lesson learned, more is NOT always more.

Great Waxing! – I've been wanting to get a Brazilian for so long (but truthfully was afraid). I had heard of Shobha and it's good reviews so decided to give them a shot. I told the front desk girl that it was my first brazilian (I've had plenty of bikini waxes) so I was a little nervous. I had Jasmine - and she was great! She was very relaxed and professional. Highly recommend – I had a waxing appointment with Sima and I was very pleased with the service and results. Their "no double dipping" policy is especially appreciated (I cannot believe other salons do not practice this - yuck!). The friendly staff and hygienic services are well worth the $. I will return to Shobha Madison.
Stop being Ridiculous and Go TO SHOBHA....from someone who goes there regularly!!! – I've read all of the reviews on Citysearch and I have to say that I'm laughing to myself here because as someone who goes regularly (i actually have an appointment today you're welcome to check for those who are sceptical) I don't know what these people are complaining about. Great place – I love Shobha Madison. I will never go any where else to have my eyebrows done. I recently tried a brazilian there and I was pleased with the results. The prices are a bit high, I wish taht they would do some specials for customers. However, I was pleased with the results. I highly recommend them!
Save your money and go somewhere else – I would have skipped the tea if I could have gotten a good eyebrow threading job and a good brazilian. It was a lot of talk and not much substance. That's putting it nicely. Staff was snobby and rude. That's putting it nicely too. With their prices, I expected a lot more service. I walked out mad and disappointed. Don't bother. NEXT!
