My husband was admitted to infirmary for low blood counts. They did a bone marrow biopsy and got the preliminary results back, Dr. Arledge went into my husbands room and told him he had leukemia and possibly 3-4 months to live, while no one else was in the room with him. Who gives that kind of news to a patient while they’re alone? Also, who gives that kind of news on preliminary results?? We ended up at UAB and he doesn’t have leukemia. I feel blessed to have great healthcare when it comes to my breast cancer. Dr. Arledge has been my oncologist since I was diagnosed in 2015. I continue to see her twice a year and I value her medical care and opinion. She is always on time for appointments. She listens to me when she asks me questions and I trust her care to be what I need to move forward with a cancer-free life. Her nurses and office staff make me feel important and her office is comfortable.
I was well taken off professionally.
Dr Arledge is an excellent doctor she takes her time with her patience. What I like is that she performed all test to make sure of your tested and understands your symptoms, problems, and treatments.
I would recommend everyone with a problem of cancer or any problem you might need an oncologist. I'm talking about Dr. Sherri Arledge at Southern Cancer Center, she helps with all the problems I've had thru these years, everyone is nice and eager to help you. Dr. Sherri Arledge works at both offices on certain days. In 2008, I was told I had 7 month's to two years to live and most people (about 85%) who had what I had didn't live but 1 year.
