How unfortunate that Sheridan finally got a service that it desperately needed and this is what we ended up with. When I needed therapeutic and helpful mental health care, I was held involuntarily. When I reacted to being told I couldn't go home, my "agitation" was held against me. When I asked to be discharged, I was transferred to WBI and held for three additional days. Don't bring a loved one in a crisis here. My husband was mistreated, not communicated with, not read his rights, and a whole laundry list of other things that will be addressed with the hospital grievance team and, if it must, straight to the legal system. We will never again trust Sheridan Memorial with any type of mental health care.
