Lovely location on the beach; beach pool and Lava's bar & grille is really good. Garden rooms are pretty average, although the pool by garden rooms is very quiet and a nice place to relax & get away.
$7 Mai Tais during happy hour at Lava's from 3-5pm.
The free breakfast to bypass your room cleaning no longer stands.

The surprise $30/day resort fee for their super slow Internet was kind of a bummer. But the beach is great. Besides it is close to all the south shore hike spots.
You'd think that a four star beach resort would have it together re: towel service. No dice. They are often out + when you can actually get them, they are threadbare, dingy + tiny. Bummer.
On site food is dreadful + way overpriced. Even for Kauai! There are many better options within walking distance. Go to those.
