Very Good! We had an early dinner at Sher-E-Punjab. Their hours are a little funny, so be sure to call or check their website before heading out. I remember we had to wait for them to open at 5:00 for dinner. We were the first ones in at 5:00, but it filled up pretty quickly. They have a buffett, but we chose to be seated. Wonderful! – The decor is great and the people are amazing! If you decide to go with the buffet you will have plenty of choices which is great if you are new to Indian food or just can't seem to decide what to get from the menu. If you order from the menu the lamb samosas are awesome!

Expensive but ordinary food with limited choices – First of all the dinner buffet at this restaurant is $15 !!!! I mean I have never seen such expensive buffet anywhere else. Secondly for such a high priced buffet it provides very very limited variety of food, needless to say that they only have one desert dish which too is ordinary. Every so often we get a craving for curry, tandori and masala. Sher-E-Punjab satisfies consistently with a delicious buffet of our favorites. The menu is extensive but if you like to sample about a dozen or so favorites then I recommend the buffet. With items like masala, creamed spinach, tandori chicken, and even lamb you are sure to satify every palate. From kids to seniors and teens to adults everyone we have brought to Sher-E-Punjab has enjoyed the food, ambience, and service. Go casual and bring your appetite.

Best Indian food in Sacramento – My wife and I frequent Sher-E-Punjab because of the food (incredible selection on the buffet at lunch and dinner), the atmosphere is calm with indian music in the background, and the welcoming owner/manager, Lovely, who greets us at the door everytime! The friendly staff are genuinely concerned if you are having a pleasant dining experience and make it a delight to eat a vegetarian meal or meat. Awesome Indian buffet and menu – Interesting atmosphere and amazing food. This spot has a large menu, which isn't always available, as some nights are flat-rate buffet nights. This buffet is the bomb! A large variety of foods, suitable for the carnivores and vegetarians alike, loaded with flavor and spices, for an authentic taste of India.
