Absolutely love John and Jennifer (and JJ)! We come in here as often as we can, and the food and service is always phenomenal!
This is the fourth time we've been to Sheps. John the owner always comes to our table and it's as if you've known him 10 years. He's just a cool dude and an open book, just talks to you like an old friend. Fried green beans were awesome and we ordered (not really on the menu) a bacon cheeseburger with 3 different types of cheese and wrapped in lettuce; you know so you feel somewhat healthy while eating a burger! I like the place and we have been coming for a while. Lunch and dinner. We went Wednesday around 6 pm and it was busy but still had available table. The hostess told us she would clean a table and we would be seated in less than 10 min. A handful of people came in behind us. She then tried to get us to go outside. We didn't want outside. We were waiting for the table she said she was getting ready. A couple came in, she told them no seating inside unless in the bar area. I ordered The Town Cryer and the outer part of meat was raw. The grilled onions were crunchy. I informed an employee who took my ticket and credit card but no one from management ever came to table. Got my ticket and was still charged full price. I signed my ticket and wrote my comments on ticket that I will not be back.

Food is good but the actual hamburger patty needs some seasoning and the service was ok at first but after we got our food we never saw the waiter again, drinks were empty when we got our food and they stayed empty till we left and 6 dollars for a beer is a bit much

Last night was our first time to try Shep's! We loved it! There was so much food I couldn't even finish it! It was done exactly how I asked and the service was great!!! We will definitely be back!
Fantastic burgers, chips & appetizers! Ate my Cowboy Burger bunless (gluten free)..YUM...perfect! <3 oh and the Germans with us very much enjoyed the "German style" Texas beer!
