I certainly appreciated the friendly, knowledgeable service we received today at Shepherd's Chevrolet. Definitely worth the 1.5 hour drive from Lafayette. We left with a great used car for my daughter.
After talking to the salesperson several times on the phone I made an appointment to come look at a used car. When I arrived they informed me that it had just been sold. In fact, while waiting to speak to someone, I got to witness them close the deal. The salesperson gave a weak apology about leaving a voicemail, which she had about 10 minutes before I arrived, but the voicemail only informed me that the car was sold, not asking if I'm on the way or still interested. I bought a vehicle 2.5 years ago. Six months after I bought it, an actuator switch controlling where the air comes out went bad. The repair cost $300. Not even 2 years later that very same issue is bad. I called and was informed that I would have to pay to get it fixed again. They only warranty the part for 1 year. Apparently no guarantee on workmanship. I will never do business with this dealership again. Think twice before buying here.
I have purchased 3 vehicles from Shepherds and have had great experiences with the purchases and the Service department. I can't imagine buying anywhere else.
