RecommendedMitch was very helpful and empathic in such a hard time. He was able to make the day of the funeral seamless. We were in a ‘fog’ and felt as if we were so well cared for by the staff.
Amid Covid-19 the staff worked hard to find solutions to the developing problems surrounding my sons wake. When we planned it the day he died everything was normal, 2 days later restricted to 50 people, the day before the wake 10 people. We all learned together how to handle things and they went out of their way to make things as easy as possible. Thanks to all

Our family has been using Shepard Funeral Chapel since the death of my grandfather in 1963. We would not consider using any other funeral chapel in the St. Louis area. It is family owned and operated by a third generation Shepard who has learned to take care of people's special needs at the most difficult time in any family's life. Mitch and David were very compassionate. We were given their undivided attention in all areas. They were very knowledgeable about all the things that needed to be done and taken care of. They treated all members of my family with compassion. I highly recommend them. Thank you for all you done.
Never have I dealt with such kind and caring people. David and Mitch went above and beyond the call of duty to help with my aunt's funeral. We had extenuating circumstances and they were very kind in an especially difficult time.
