Never had a bad meal. Especially enjoy their fish.
Lobster Bisque was excellent,but the “prize “ was the bread pudding.
Super nice people and amazing food. FYI- it’s BYOB and there is a beer store next door...lol what more could you want :)
Great food, reasonably priced. Love that they do not highly season the seafood - they let it shine on its own. Too many places seem to believe everyone want pepper and spice. Also, breakfasts are great.
We had shrimp and catfish, fried oysters, all very good. Great service also.
I hate to give a so-so review of a place I like. Went there today and when we got there it wasn’t crowded so was okay to sit inside. I ordered the board special soft shell crab and crab cake special. First off I would love to see some kind of salad, cole slaw, veggies, etc. The entire huge plate was fried food. Needed something lighter to balance. Second issue is really bad in my opinion. Had a good meal of fried shrimp, oysters, and catfish with coleslaw, hush puppies, and fries.. It was quite tasty❤️
The shrimp and crab cakes were very good however the catfish was superb! Friendly atmosphere and an eclectic decor makes for a fun experience. If you're near Rockport and need a place to eat, I'd highly recommend Shempy's.
