I was misdiagnosed for 4 years. Lost all of my hearing in my right ear and all of the doctors didn’t believe me (NOT Dr. Shelton). I was put on more medication than I can count. I even had one doctor tell me it was my acne that caused my pain and my deafness in my right ear (I was 15 years old!). I went to school every day in pain and getting more depressed by the day because I thought I would have to live like that forever. And then we found Dr. Shelton. In Dec, 2001, Dr Shelton & Dr Ron Applebaughm removed an acoustic neuroma tumor behind my left ear. I had been seeing Dr. Shelton prior to that, and after that experience, he has definitely been my ENT since then. I have recommended him too many people. (( I jokingly told him that he can’t retire, until after my death; and although I’m not sure about this, I believe we are close to being the same age.
