Had an emergency and Dr. Thornburg went above and beyond what was expected of him. He was so helpful and understanding while I was a frantic crazy person. He took a lot of time to explain the situation and the medications prescribed. He made sure I understood. I honestly can't say enough good things about my experience there.
My Chiweenie was hit by a car today. I immediately brought him to Shelbiana and they were amazing. Dr. Self was very thorough with examination. He explained everything and why they were doing what needed to be done. He was considerate to my feelings and panic. I am happy to say Cooper is fine! We will be using them from now on for our animals. Thank you so much!!
Took my 12 week old Yorkie Doodle in for shots and a checkup. It was the most thorough exam I have ever witnessed! Dr. Thornburg was wonderful (as was the rest of the staff!). I have found a vet for life! A big 5 paws � up for Shelbiana Animal Clinic!
Love love love the doctors and staff at Shelbiana!! Dr T is the greatest! His love and passion for treating our babies is unmeasurable and indescribable. Dr Self also is an incredible and loving Doctor and has such a natural love for animals! Could not ask for a better pair of Doctors! Dr Thornburg and his staff have been lifesavers for my family for many years. Would (and have) recommended this outstanding clinic to everyone. They make you and you babies feel like family.
The people at this vet are wonderful to deal with . They are very flexible when it comes to appointments. You never have to worry with keeping up with your dogs shots, checkups, or rabies booster because they send you reminders in the mail. If you are busy raising a family and working it's great to know they are keeping up with your animals needs. Willow was always excited to head over to the veterinarian.
We love everyone at Shelbianna Animal Clinic! Not only do they treat our animals with the utmost care, they also treat us with kindness and respect. Love that the Doctors explain how and why they treat and make sure you understand. I used Dr. T many years ago when my Shih Tzu, Lillie was a baby. He did a remarkable job with her. When only 12 weeks old, and due to my foolish positioning of a t.v. she broke a rear leg. Dr. T fashioned a splint that was adjustable and changed it every 10 days as she grew. .we have a 4 month old puppy that had hook worms when we got her And took her to the vet in alabaster and they treated her. The dr said she has a skin allergy that is causing her to constantly scratch because of the hook worms ,which is making her have sores on her body . Well we took her to shelbiana cause we live right down the road and she scratched a big hole in her side under her arm which would need stitches and possibly some other treatment .
