She didn't want to see me because I missed 1 session when I had never missed a session with her before and told me to contact her when my life is more stable when I wanted to see a therapist because my life is unstable. My dog had been in i.c.u for 6 days and almost died and I had very recently gone through a traumatic experience involving extortion. I Guess Miss Cohen only sees patients who are stable and need the least amount of help.
Sheila is a lovely individual but a very hands-off therapist. She seems to lack the heart or head space to intervene in therapy and steer her subjects positively. She is a good listener but a poor communicator and not well suited to therapy, particularly with couples. She seemed distant, remote and detached during sessions and not emotionally engaged (a serious failing in a therapist).
