I decided to do my homework (just as you can by reading the customer reviews here on Angie's List), and I was able to find a list of contractors who had installed Trane heating and cooling systems in our area. After narrowing down my choices, I called each contractor individually and asked a bunch of questions about their experience with Trane products, their prior customers' experiences with them, and so on.
