My mom bought my Shedrain umbrella in Portland Oregon 25 years ago when I was 6 or 7 years old. I choose it simply because I loved the multicolored paisley, totally not knowing we had just bought the best umbrella I would ever own or, need for that matter! I still have that exact same umbrella and use it all the time(it can be very rainy in Alaska), it is currently in my daughters back pack waiting to go on a field trip tomorrow. Thanks for all the dry memories Shedrain!

After about 8 years, the umbrella broke, followed the instructions online and sent it in, and got an email today letting me know a replacement is on its way. They are the REI of umbrellas :)

I just got off the phone with a less than empathetic customer service rep at ShedRain. My one year old "WindPro" umbrella blew inside out during a windy, rain storm. I bought it at my local Macy's but my only option for a repair is to ship it from Boston to Portland, OR. Given the difficulty in finding a 36" slim, box and a steep shipping cost, the warranty is effectively worthless. Disappointing for such an expensive umbrella.
Cut my thumb twice trying to open this umbrella - seems to be a defective unsafe design - watch your fingers opening this umbrella!
