I paid a deposit in advance of my appointment, and received confirmations and reminders - as well as emailed with somebody regarding the appointment. When I arrived, no one answered the door and the lights were off. I waited for 30 minutes and received no communication that the salon was closed. I did not receive a refund for the deposit. This is disappointing because I have been to this salon prior. I would not recommend making an appointment. Update - the emails bounced back as undeliverable and I was never refunded.
I should’ve read the negative reviews a bit closer because they all sound like my experience. My first appointment, Mindy was late but I overlooked since she gave me a heads up beforehand and was apologetic. Communication is key. Everything went well so I booked my next three appointments with her. I had some unexpected guests show up for the holiday weekend and I debated cancelling this next appointment but she books out far and doesn’t have great hours. The owner smokes cigarettes on the 400 block of East Flora, I'm assuming because it may look bad for her business to smoke in front of her business. Then she throws her cigarettes into the street...because that's not littering, right? To the owner: before you deny it, I have you on ring camera because you did it in front of my house. Do it again & I will post the video.

Mindy is amazing. I’m 40 weeks pregnant and moved here from DC and needed to find my new sugaring studio and am so happy I walked by!! She makes you feel so comfortable if you’ve never gone through the process. Offers an eye mask, a stress ball and even breathing techniques should you want them. The studio was clean and fresh and welcoming and I just loved everything about the experience.
