My children were traumatized by the pig tails and crew cuts staff. So much so that my daughter (who is autistic) cried for almost an hour afterwords. When I took them to Sharkey's they were very hesitant but the women inside immediately made them feel so comfortable and took all the time they needed to make sure they fixed the TERRIBLE haircuts they got at pig tails and crew cuts. Love Sharkeys and the owners are locals with young kids of their own! My 1 and 3 year old girls got the cutest little bob style haircuts for summer last week and there were NO tears. Thanks Sharkeys for a great experience!!

The kids and I discovered this place yesterday! The last time we went for a cut, we went to KAOS, where after the first swipe with the clippers, My son (who has autism and sensory needs) ended up on the floor having one of the biggest meltdowns I've seen. I had to physically restrain him in my lap to finish the cut. Afterwards, we were scolded about him not wearing shoes (which is a big sensory issue for him) and were told that we could not come back unless he had shoes on his feet. My toddler HATES haircuts, and it's always a really stressful experience for us, but then we found Sharkey's! Vinh did SUCH an amazing job with him, and he wasn't afraid and didn't cry at all for the first time ever! We will go back to her every time!

I do not understand why you will not take a customer 20 min before you close. If you don't want to work till 6, you should close earlier. After reading reviews on Yelp, I'm glad we were unable to get it cut. We will go to Snip-its!
