About this business

If it's not too odd to you to have fish staring at you while you eat, then you should enjoy the Shark Reef Café. The café/diner at theAlbuquerque Aquariumand Botanical Gardens, one wall consists of the glass side of the aquarium's largest tank, meaning that sharks, turtles, sting rays, giant tuna and more will swim past you as you eat your lunch. It is not necessary to actually be a paying visitor to the biopark in order to eat at the Shark Reef, as there is an entrance in a non-ticketed area. - Pip Lustgarten

Good food. Slow, but good. Great fish tanks. Don't buy the children's souvenir cup, it's a dollar store cup, marked up 300%. Save your money and go to the gift shop for a true souvenir that actually says something about the aquarium

Business response:

Hi Renee, we’re so glad you liked the food! One of the reasons our souvenir cups are more expensive is because we donate a large portion of the proceeds from the sale of those cups back the ABQ Biopark to support various exhibits like the River Otters and the Penguins!

Today at the Shark Reef Cafe was the happiest that I have been in months. If I had to rate my chicken salad sandwich on a scale from 1 to 5 — with one being “Failed to meet my expectations” and 5 being “Far exceeded my expectations,” I give it a 5 with little to no hesitation. Keep on keepin’ on.
