A GEM!!! Dr. Melcher is knowledgable, personable, & so great with my teen/adult children. Highest recommendation! So grateful for her
Shannon was very detailed, has a wonderful cheerful disposition-my four month old Was all smiles when she had him. I also choose to delay my children's vaccines and didn't feel Shamed for it, but she honored and respected my request which meant a lot To me, even though she did advise to get them. She is a wonderful doctor & my kids loved her.
Unsure why there are so many negative reviews here. Dr. Shannon Melcher is a fantastic doctor whom I have had zero issues with. She is empathic while leaving no stone unturned when it comes to your health while answering any and all questions. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a primary physician. My advice based on the negative reviews, you might want to check what your insurance covers at UCI health.
I have been having a really hard time with medical office. My insurance covers 100% for preventative care, and I scheduled my annual checkup with this office, which was a total mistake. I ended up $600+ bill for a preventative care that is fully covered by my insurance. They charged additionally for something they call "New Patient Care Establishment" which they billed under diagnostic care instead of preventative care.
