I'm a huge fan – I thought I'd try Shangri-la since I was looking for a spa that could take a last minute booking and that was close to my apt. I booked the 3 1/2 hour treatment for $195.00 (you can't beat the price) and I was extremely pleased with the services I received. I have since gone back and have gotten two additional facials from the owner. She is amazing with skin. Great service with reasonable price – I took a day-off from work and had "Escape to Shangri-La" (31/2 hours for only $195!) to pamper myself. As everybody stated below, this spa is an apartment conversion; however, you won't feel like it since it's nicely done. I was fully relaxed and my skin looked great after Guinot Deep Pore Cleasing Facial (love that product!)- it was a fantastic experience and I will definitely go back when I need to relax again. More than anything else, it's so reasonable!
good place for massages and body wraps but Beware the owner/manager. – Well I agree with both of the previous reviewers. I went to this place over the weekend because I needed to de-stress and relax. They have a good deal for $195 + tax. You get an herbal detox wrap and you choose what massage and facial you want from the menu and it lasts about 3 and a half hours. A perfect place for no nonsene relaxation and pampering!! – Maybe the previous reviewer caught them on a bad day. My first experience at Shangri-la Day Spa was quite positive! The first thing that struck me was how unpretentious and unspa-like it was. Rather it was more like a converted apartment, but in the best way!
