the best Shanghai dumplings EVER – I went there on the recommendation of fellow citysearchers and I LOVED their Dumplings! They were oh-so delicious! I had the pork ones and the beijing ones. I loved that sauce that comes with it too. I also ordered pork & veggie noodle soup and loved it. It was dirt cheap too! we ordered 3 dishes plus sweetened soy milk and the total was only $16! What a steal!
I travel across town for their dumplings! – The Shanghai dumplings here are HIGHLY addictive. You have been warned. My particular faves also are the mini pork buns, pan fried, the string beans sauteed with garlic, and the Shanghai noodles also rock. I do not believe you can go wrong, but keep an eye out for mysteriously spicy dishes. Like the lemon chicken, which was far zippier than one would expect. The staff are super attentive. And even if you are carless, the 38 Geary stops a block away!
Great Value, delicious dumplings – Another great hole in the wall win SF. I ordered the shanghai dumplings, it was really good, along with the sauce that came with it. The pan fried pork buns were also one of my favorites there. The soup that comes with fried crispy rice is tasty, a good mixture of soup and crisp. The lion heads meatball is superb. Soup dumplings...mmm – We're from NYC and frequented Joe's and Green Bo when we lived there. How excited were we to find an excellent dumpling house just a few blocks away from our new pad in San Francisco? Very excited. Delicious soup dumplings, great noodle dishes and soup at very reasonable prices. Can get crowded for dinner - never had any trouble getting a table for lunch. This place has no ambiance - so know what you're getting into. Afterwards take a drive down to Ocean Beach and enjoy the scenery.
