My son has apraxia, and has struggled with speech since he was a baby. Our developmental pediatrician was adamant from the start that we needed to try to get in with Shamim. We have been working with Shamim for 2.5 years and she is hands down the best speech therapist in the Bay Area. She is PROMPT trained and has an amazing way of working with our daughter that has been both motivating and fun for her. We are so thankful to have found Shamim! The amount of progress that our daughter has made with the clarity of her speech in just one year is unbelievable. Our daughter looks forward to going to see her every week; I am not sure if she even realizes that she isn’t there only to play games.
