The DC Shambhala Center has so many different classes and programs - something for everyone at every level of meditation practice!
Shambhala offers donation based meditation sessions and classes. The people are super welcoming and every time i visit it's like comming home.
This is the only DC-area community I've found with an entire meditation/Buddhism curriculum. There are five weekend courses that teach meditation basics and five week-night courses (each 5 weeks long) that teach Buddhism basics. The classes are very well designed and very well taught. This is a great place to learn meditation and to learn about Buddhism!
