I went to Dr. Gholami to treat my BPH. He performed several different tests in his office. The Ultrasound scan was also done in his office, and he mentioned he has seen a tumor. He said when he preforms the procedure to treat the BPH, he can also do a biopsy of the prostate to see if this is cancer. Something did not feel right. I asked for the Ultrasound images and that was not given to me. I went for second opinion. The new Urologist, said I have a very low PSA, and he does not think I have any cancer. He performed another... read more
In November 2021 after performing biopsy and blood test Dr. GHOLAMI diagnosed me with prostate cancer. Within month he started treatment. During this time he found out that I have one more problem that he had to take care surgically. After that he injected 37 radio isotopes after which I had 25 sessions of radiotherapy. Eventually I was informed that I am cancer free. I would strongly recommend Dr. Gholami to any one with the problems that I had. Amazing doctor, amazing person. He is my best friend now.
Multiple visits with the same information left me frustrated. I waited 6 weeks for my last appointment only to be told the exact information. 5 minutes of his time cost me another $220. I am baffled by this. The staff is friendly most of the time but everyone is so rushed, it's hard to think of questions in the time frame given. Each visit I walk out thinking, what was this for?
I was referred to Dr. Gholami late 2021and visited his office multiple times, meeting with assistants and technicians performing tests. They were all kind and attentive. I didn't meet with Dr. Gholami himself until months later, and he literally whirled into the exam room, blurted out two vague findings, said more tests were needed and opened the door to the exam room and ushered me out. The whole exchange took approximately three minutes and left me quite stunned. I was so surprised by this treatment that I couldn't even fr... read more
Reads the problem out of the form I filled out. Comes into the room with an assistant and explains what the treatment plan should be without even asking me what my symptoms are and why am there.
I’ve lost 2 family members from COVID-19 and for the doctor to walk into the waiting room without a mask on as well as a staff member, I was shocked and concerned, and to make things worse while attempting to schedule my operation procedure I was told rudely by the scheduler, “to get to the back of the line.”
The office is always too busy. When Dr. Gholami does manage to grace you with his presence, it's to briefly recap test results. A typical office visit lasts less than 3 minutes. He hasn't performed a basic physical exam on me in years. Instead, he recommends procedures and surgeries that cost a whole lot more. I feel like a source of income for the practice than a patient.
The worst doctor experience I’ve ever had. Do not go to him if you are a woman. Wrong doctor for me, however, he could have been a whole lot less condescending. He’s probably fine if you have prostate cancer, horrible if you have Uti issues.
Dr Gholami told me my prostate was hard my PSA was 2.7, Dr Gholami said I needed a biopsy. Dr Gholami did a biopsy and said I need prostate surgery. I went to three other Urologists each said my prostate was not hard and based on my biopsy and PSA of 2.75 I did not need surgery. I had a second biopsy from Stanford two years later all 12 samples came back benign. It has been almost 5 years. I test every six months. My prostate is not hard and my PSA is 2.75 -3.25 I almost let this guy operate on me. Fortunately for me I read ... read more
