I was referred to Dr Tariq for a spinal cord stimulator implant. Trial went well and provided relief. Actual Nevro unit was another story. Unit did not provide relief. I attempted to contact Dr Tariq many times and never could receive a return call. Obviously had no interest once he was paid. Eventually referred to a different pain management Dr who actually cares about his patients.
Great Back Pain Doctor. I moved to Houston area from Chicago recently and was looking for a Pain Specialist and found Dr. Tariq. My pain is being managed by Epidural Steroid Injection over the years. I would normally go to my Pain Doctor and he would give me Epidural and that will temporarily help me. Dr. Tariq examined me in detail and told me he is not sure if I needed Epidurals instead may be some diagnostic nerve block and if that's successful then burning of nerves. I went ahead, whole process was smooth and I feel amaz... read more
This guy is a scam. Charged me $120 for a visit, spent 5 minutes with me. I came in for back pain and knee pain. He didn't ask me anything about my habits, barely examined me, then sent me straight to get an MRI ($1,100). From there he would probably have me come back to drop off another $120, then push for cortisone injections. Never addressed my knee pain, by the way. These people take an oath to look after their patients, then they treat them like ATM machines, over medicate them and push for extreme procedures that may h... read more
I have been a patient of Dr Tariq nearly 3 years. He’s a very caring and very compassionate doctor. Not one complaint ever, on either him or his awesome staff. Each one of his staff is very nice and caring. I would highly recommend him to anyone, which I have and will continue to do. My back is feeling so much better. Was nervous about having back surgery but after talking it over with Dr Tariq he made me feel so much better and not as scared to do what I know I needed, have back surgery,
I am so grateful that I found Dr. Tariq!!! I was in a car accident in September of 2018. As a result of the accident, I had pain in my neck, shoulders and all down my back and was tired of popping pills that weren't helping. Dr. Tariq was very empathetic of my situation. Not once did he push injections on me. I actually asked for them, in order to get some relief from pain and some range of motion back! The wait time in the office varies based on the location and the time of day.
I was involved in a car accident and since I was hit by the air bags which deployed-sudden neck movement back and forth lead to severe neck pain. I was looking for a pain specialist who has experience in treating musculoskeletal injuries and one of my cousin had seen Dr.Tariq earlier so I went to see him. He explained me the mechanism of injury in detail and cause of my neck pain and headaches. He treated me with therapy and injections. Best pain doctor in houston both me and my cousin agree.
Never sent new patient paperwork ahead of time despite requests. Poor communication. Rude and incompetent people at the front desk. Spent 45 minutes behind the closed glass discussing lunch order while patients arrived and signed in.... waited over an hour to even get paperwork, other patients complained about similar wait times. Very rude and ignore patients regularly. Placed in a room after being shuttled back and forth only to have a random other person enter— not the doctor. Will not return
I have been a patient of Dr. Tariq for 6 years. We have a great doctor patient relationship. He always try to find the best solution to your pain to help you have a normal life and being as pain free as possible. He’s a caring and understanding physician. His staff has the same professionalism as he does. If you have a problem they will try their best to fix it. I couldn’t find another doctor as good as Dr. Tariq and his staff.
