Terrific hotel for the price! Room is large — nice walk in shower, comfortable bed, window that opens for fresh air, a full dresser and closet, a nice big desk and plenty of room to spread out. Furnishings are not new, but the room is clean. Conveniently outlets too and WiFi is stable and fast. And what a terrific location! Im nostalgic for hotels like this. Old charm in a nice part of town. The room was well maintained and painted. The bed was very very firm. My window opened onto Bush Street which is usually busy. The single pain of glass did little to keep out the street noise. And the hallways can get loud too. The staff were helpful and pleasant. Located just outside Chinatown, its a great launch pad to explore.
This was one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Nothing works properly. The WiFi is unreliable, so you’re forced to use your own data. There’s no phone service, so every issue requires going downstairs to complain. The shower has almost no water pressure, the fan doesn’t work, and the room gets unbearably hot.The elevator is creepy.
