I'm so glad I bought my machine here. The staff is so knowledgeable and helped me make the perfect choice! When I needed assistance even years later, they were quick to take me in, solve the problem and show me where I went wrong. Don't buy your machine anywhere else!

We recently held a sewing birthday party here and the instructors were GREAT! Positive and patient, they guided 5 girls through the process of making a sleeping bag for their 18" dolls -- zipper included! The girls did the work themselves, learned a lot about sewing and had a great time. And, it was reasonably price (included materials and supplies). Thank you Sew and Vac for such a wonderful party!
I just bought a new sewing machine and could not be happier with it or the employees at the Poughkeepsie store. I'm a new quilter and was very pleased with the amount of time I was given to examine the different machines and to try them out. All and all, a great experience .
I bought a Sapphire 930 from a shop where the owner retired and closed down a few weeks later. I've had nothing but issues and the machine is not even a year old. Sew and Vac did one of the repairs and installed a "new" board and power supply. It didn't hold up long. At first there were dark lines on the screen which isn't a good sign on a computer. Not sure why we are receiving a bad review here.. We have been nothing but supportive to you. We do not get many emails but they are normally responded to within 24 hours like yours was. Any refunds need to be taken up with the dealer you purchased from or Viking, the work we have done for you so far has been free of charge.
I have bought 3 sewing machines from them the last 8 years. I went into the shop to asked about a ruffle foot for my machine which is about $60. The owner showed me how to work it. I asked if I could bring my machine and the foot in if I have a problem putting it on or if I have issues with it. I was told condescendingly "I just showed you". I will never shop there again! I will be going to S &S Vac, App, and Sew. Shame on you for treating a customer like that!
